5 students perform before thousands
Five ACCC students performed at a packed state fairgrounds grandstand, receiving a standing ovation.

As the official charity of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) convention, which was held in August at the N.D. State Fairgrounds in Minot, Anne Carlsen Center for Children had the opportunity to share it’s story with over 12,000 people from around the country.
At the convention’s headline concert featuring country music entertainer Roy Clark, five ACCC musicians received a standing ovation from a packed grandstand audience after they performed.
Alex R., Kendra B., Nikki B., Tyler D., and Mike D. brought a packed crowd to their feet after playing two songs using switches and computerized music.
Following the concert, they all had the opportunity to meet Roy Clark and his band. Alex, who had attended ACCC’s summer camp just weeks before meeting Clark, invited him to come to Camp Grassick next year to be in the talent show!
No stage fright here. Mike made the most of his solo.

Tyler activated his switch on cue to play his part of the song while Alex waited for his turn.
