Spring 2006

New wings launch renewed Circle of Friends

The Anne Carlsen Circle of Friends is wrapping its arms around the butterfly symbolism adopted by Anne Carlsen Center for Children (ACCC) and is launching into 2006 with a transformation.

The children cared for at ACCC symbolize the butterfly as they work to break out of their cocoons and blossom into beautiful individuals.

“We have always had a strong connection to the butterfly,” said Foundation Executive Director Kevin Cooper. “The Anne Carlsen Circle of Friends is now bringing these fragile gifts from God into its recognition levels.”

The Anne Carlsen Circle of Friends was created to recognize individuals and businesses that generously support Anne Carlsen Center for Children and enable us to provide the loving care that God intends for all children.

It includes:

  • Annual Friends, who provide financial support of at least $250
  • Lifetime Friends, who have a cumulative gift of least $5,000. Their names are included on the Tree of Life that brightens one of the Center’s main entrances.
  • Legacy Friends, who have included Anne Carlsen Center for Children in their planned giving

As part of the reorganization of the Circle of Friends, members will receive special invitations to events including graduation, Christmas programs, and prom. “We will also be doing more to share information about how the gifts we receive are being put to use,” said Cooper. “Donors will receive meaningful tokens of appreciations that will bring them closer to the children.”
