Rain doesn't dampen golf day
Viking legend adds to tourney excitement
Rain
soaked the greens but not the spirits of 140 golfers who played
in the 23rd Annual Anne Carlsen Center for Children Benefit Golf
Tournament Saturday, June 11.
Helping to keep spirits high was Minnesota Viking legend Joey
Browner, the celebrity host at this year’s tournament. He
was on the Jamestown Country Club course all day, putting with
teams on hole three and driving with them on four. Prior to his
appearance at the tournament, he spent time at ACCC meeting students
and staff.
In its 23-year history the tournament has raised more than $330,000
for programming benefiting children and young adults with special
needs at Anne Carlsen Center for Children.
Derek, a HUGE Vikings fan, was just one of the students who was
excited to have his picture taken with (and autographed) Joey Browner
when he visited the Center.
