TechnoCamp to blend art, technology, and camping

Applications are being accepted for Anne Carlsen Center for Children’s fourth annual summer camp for young adults with disabilities. TechnoCamp will be held July 9-14 at Elk’s Camp Grassick, near Dawson, N.D.

Click here to apply online, or call Theresa Hanson at 1-800-568-5175 ext. 169. Space is limited and the application deadline is May 1.

TechnoCamp will focus on adapting the arts with technology. Various types of technology, along with trained staff and guest artists, will assist all students in creating their own masterpieces.

Learning experiences will be combined with traditional and recreational activities to ensure a memorable and beneficial camp experience.

Campers will use painting, illustration, photography, weaving, music, and 3-D art for projects. Hayrides, swimming in the lake, bingo, a talent show, pontoon rides, and other recreational activities will also be part of the camp experience.

Campers will have access to trained staff, therapy, medical services, and many types of technology to meet any educational or medial needs.

“[My daughter] learned more in that week than she has all school year,” a parent of a 2005 camper said.
"I had a really fun time at camp. Next year I want to stay at the camp all day and night," said a 2005 camper.
