Re-designed website inviting, user friendly

Anne Carlsen Center for Children has a new online look.

The website, www.annecenter.org is now brighter and more user-friendly.

Marketing and Communications Coordinator Doris Cooper said the excitement about the redesigned site continues to build since its September launch and the best thing about the Center's site is that it is something new. "It's fresh," she said. "It's a lot more user-friendly."

"One of the newer things about the site is the response mechanisms," Cooper said.

The site allows users to request information and publications about the Center as well as register for workshop and training events sponsored by the Center.

This bright, new, in-depth look at the Anne Carlsen Center for Children is still under some construction because it is an ever-evolving site.

"One of the things we are going to be doing is adding video clips," Cooper said. The clips will not only feature the videos that can be requested online, but also footage from Center events such as summer camps and workshops.

The site's Program and Services section houses details about ACCC's growing outreach programs. A detailed list of trainings available from ACCC is posted, along with information about evaluation and outpatient therapy services.

A Family Resources section is dedicated to helping the families of children with special needs access information and support.

School and activity calendar information as well as ACCC's parent/student handbook are available for anyone to access. And, soon, the family resources section will feature a parent message board and sibling resources.

The About Us section takes site users to information about the Center and Dr. Anne herself.
Users can follow the timeline of information about the Center and Dr. Anne. They can learn more about Dr. Anne's life, and they can even request a free copy of Dr. Anne Carlsen's video
biography.

This section also provides financial and other business related information about the Center.

Within the news and events section, visitors can find information about current events at ACCC.

Connections and The Ambassador newsletters are available to read online, and people can now request to be added or removed from the publications’ mailing lists.

More than just workshop information, the site also has a section dedicated to careers at ACCC which gives users to find information about job openings, trainings, and employee benefits.

The site gives visitors the inside information about the Center and ways to be involved with ACCC events.
