Campers will jet-set around the world

Applications are being accepted for Anne Carlsen Center for Children’s fifth annual summer camp for young adults with disabilities.

TechnoCamp: Camping Around the World, will incorporate the use of assistive technology into activities that will expose campers to the culture of a different country each day.

The week-long camp is July 22–27 at Elk’s Camp Grassick near Dawson, N.D.

Applications are available at www.annecenter.org or by calling Theresa Hanson at 1-800-568-5175, ext. 169. Space is limited.

Campers leave with a memorable camping experience as they combine some necessary therapies and medical care with fun, interactive learning activities along with camping favorites like hayrides, a talent show and dance, and pontoon rides.

They are supported during their week by experienced direct care, therapy, and medical professionals from Anne Carlsen Center for Children and Elks Camp Grassick.

":This was such a good experience for (my daughter), ": said one parent of a 2006 camper. ":Thank you for this chance for her. ":

":(My daughter) hasn’t quit talking about camp and how much for she had that week, ": said another.

":It seemed like all your staff were there for the kids and that means a lot. It’s great that all kids get to be involved in going to camp. ":
