Bismarck judge joins ACCC governing board
Janet Seaworth has been appointed to a three-year term on the Anne Carlsen Center for Children Board of Trustees.
An administrative law judge for the State of North Dakota, Seaworth is the mother of twin boys with cerebral palsy.
“I am very interested in the mission Anne Carlsen Center for Children has,” she said. “I’m excited that they have a plan for developing their outreach services. I just want to be a part of that.”
She added, “I feel that being a parent of children with special needs gives me some insight that I can offer.”
“We are very fortunate to have someone with Janet’s professional and personal experience join our board,” said Chief Executive Officer Dan Howell. “She brings a background that will help us further define and develop growth strategies to better help us provide services to children with disabilities from around the state.”
Seaworth has a strong background in educational law. She is currently a complaint investigator for the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction’s Office of Special Education. She has also served as assistant counsel to the ND School Boards Association.
