Living the iLife

Brief Description:
Apple's iLife software is a collection of applications that allow you to take you classroom to new levels by creating movies, photo albums, CDs, DVD's, your own music, pod casts, and more! The five applications include iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, Garageband, and iWeb. The programs will enable you create and document classroom projects and publish them online for parents and others to see.

Objective:
Participants will be provided an in-depth look at this software and applications. Participants will gain hands-on experience with these exciting applications including time to create your own photo album, a movie, your own song, a Web page, and your own CDs.

Audience:
Special education teachers, regular education teachers, para-professionals, support staff

Length:
2 day session

Presenters:
Mark Coppin is the manager of the ACCC Learning Center. He gradated from Moorhead State University with degrees in special education and speech communications (radio/TV/film production). He has been with the Center for 17 years. He has presented numerous workshops both locally and nationally on various aspects of technology.

Theresa Hanson is the ACCC Learning Center Technology Specialist. A graduate of Jamestown College, she has been at the Center for 9 years and has experience with various aspects of assistive technology and its application into the education setting as a regular education classroom teacher and in her role as technology specialist.

Cost:
$1,500
Per diem travel fee of $1 per mile to and from Jamestown.
