For teens with special needs, there are limited camping opportunities available. Anne Carlsen Center is rooted in the belief that all people, regardless of disability, should have the chance to live life to its fullest.
TechnoCamp supports and enhances the campers’ use of communication systems and technology to allow them to participate fully in the camping experience.
The technology focus provides individuals the opportunity to further develop skills with technology adaptations. And mixed in with functional learning activities each year are camp favorites including hayrides, swimming in the lake, pontoon rides, bonfires, and recreation activities.
