- Intellitools Classroom Suite: During the two-day workshop, participants will be given an in-depth look
at the Intellitools Classroom Suite software and receive hands-on experience with each of the three tools, creating personalized projects. Participants will be given ideas and suggestions
on how to utilize the Suite when adapting curriculum and creating classroom activities.
- Shareware and Freeware for the Macintosh: Participants will learn how to find inexpensive and free Mac-based
software.
- Make Them Laugh: Presenters will introduce the audience to a wide variety of technology as a way to involve
students in school activities. Participants will leave with many new ideas, tips and motivations to begin using immediately. And they’ll be laughing when they leave! Day-long sessions
feature make-n-take projects.
- Livin' the iLife: Participans will explore Apple's iLife software, a collection of applications that allow
you to take your classroom to new levels by creating movies, photo albums, CDs, DVDs, your own music, podcasts and so much more! The 5 applications include iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, Garageband,
and iWeb.These programs will enable you to create classroom projects and publish them on-line for parents and others to see. The 2-day session will give participants hands-on experience
with these exciting applications and a chance to create photo albums, a movie, your own song, a Webpage and your own CD's.
- Cool Books for Cool Kids: This hands-on workshop that will show you how to adapt books to allow all kids
access to the wonderful world of reading. Participants will gain ideas to give students who could not access books because of physical, cognitive or behavioral limitations the opportunity
to enjoy and access books.
- The Great Reading Adventure:This workshop provides ideas on how to engage and immerse every child
in the literacy process. Participants will explore programs like Boardmakers, Intellitools Classroom Suite, Kurzweil Reading system, My Own Bookshelf, PixWriter, and Start to Finish Literacy
Series. The one-day session includes an introduction and a hands-on experience with several software programs. Two-day sessions allow participants and in-depth look at and opportunity to
use software to create activities.
